Two Cowgirls Named to South Region Scholar Teams

Oklahoma State senior soccer players Lauren Colwell and Cassie Lewis were both named to the NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-South Region teams as it was announced by the NSCAA this week.

Colwell was named to the second team for the second consecutive year. The Tulsa native compiled a 3.87 GPA while majoring in international business. Colwell scored her first career goal this season. She was also named to the Academic All-Big 12 first team for the third time in her career.

Lewis was named to third team after being named to the second team in 2004. The Houston native finished her career with 11 goals, and she was named the Big 12 Tournament Offensive MVP after the Cowgirls captured the Big 12 title in 2003.

Both seniors will be honored at the annual soccer banquet on January 14.
