Cowboys Travel to East Lansing to Take on the Spartans
Oklahoma State's wrestling teamwill travel to East Lansing, Mich., to take on Michigan State on Sunday, Nov. 27 at Jenison Fieldhouse. First match is slated for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast by 93.7. The Cowboys lead the all-time series with the Spartans 29-3-1. OSU has won the last six meetings dating back to a 21-10 loss in East Lansing during the 1999-2000 season. The last time OSU was in East Lansing it came away with a 29-12 victory over MSU. The Cowboys won last year's meeting 28-9 in Stillwater. It marked the debut for true freshman Coleman Scott and Nathan Morgan. Scott suffered a narrow defeat against Michigan State's third-ranked 125-pounder Nick Simmons. Morgan won easily with a tech. fall over the Spartans' Ryan Froese.

Scouting the Spartans
Michigan State is led on the mat by the Simmons brothers. Nick is currently ranked fourth at 125, while Andy is ranked fourth at 141. The Spartans also carry ranked wrestlers in Darren McKnight, R.J. Boudro and Joe Williams. Nick Simmons is off to a 10-0 start this season. The junior, however, is coming off of a loss in the NWCA All-Star Classic which does not count against him The Spartans come into the contest ranked 19th in the preseason NWCA/Intermat Coaches Poll. This will be their first dual meet of the season, but they have competed in a few open tournaments.
