Pablo Martin Rewarded for Outstanding Play
November 10, 2005 | Cowboy Golf
For the second consecutive month, the sophomore was named as the Big 12 Golfer of the Month and was also tabbed as the Southern Golf Association's National Amateur of the Month. Martin has now been chosen as the conference's golfer of the month four times and has received the SGA's national distinction twice.
In addition, the Malaga, Spain, native was named the national player of the week by both Golf World and Golfweek following the victory.
Martin carded a 4-under total of 212 at the 54-hole event to secure his second win of the fall and the fourth of his career.
Through two events this fall, he is carrying a 69.50 stroke average and has posted three rounds in the 60s during that span.
Martin and the Cowboys will close out their fall slate this week when they look to defend their team title at the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship.
