2004: Started all but one dual as the 197-pounder ... posted a 19-16 record in his first full season in the Oklahoma State lineup ... qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing as the Big 12 runner-up ... won three matches at the NCAA Championships, with two of his wins coming by fall ... recorded a fall in one minute, 24 seconds over seventh-ranked Ryan Fulsaas of Iowa ... defeated fourth-ranked B.J. Padden of Nebraska to advance to the Big 12 Championship match, just weeks after getting majored by Padden ... recorded eight falls and two tech. falls on the season.
2003: Wrestled in 24 matches in open tournaments for the Cowboys, posting 18 wins against six losses ... among his victories, five came by fall ... in the four tournaments he competed in, Blackmon never finished below third ... his lone tournament win came at the Roger Denker Open ... he had a pair of third-place finishes at the Kaufman and CMSU Opens, and finished second in the Oklahoma Open.
2002: In his first year wrestling on the collegiate level, Blackmon notched an 18-3 record and recorded open-tournament wins at the Fort Hays Open and the Roger Denker Open ... he placed second at the Cliff Keen Open and third at the Central Missouri State Open ... he also wrestled in freestyle tournaments during the summer.
High School: Blackmon graduated from Bradley Central High School where he lettered all four years in wrestling.
Personal: Blackmon was born in Cleveland, Tenn., and is the son of Chuck and Cindy Blackmon ... is majoring math education ... has a younger brother, Bryant, who is currently a redshirt freshman on the team ... he was born on Aug. 3, 1982.
