2004: Made a name for himself after he pinned two-time national champion Johnny Thompson in the Orange and Black Dual ... posted a 13-2 record wrestling in open tournaments ... recorded four falls and two tech falls for the Cowboys ... pinned NCAA qualifier Josh Keefe of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 45 seconds ... quickest fall came against teammate Justin Porter in 15 seconds ... all but three of his victories were with bonus points.
High School: Frishkorn compiled an 182-11 record en route to becoming a four time-state champion at Great Bridge High School, was the seventh four-time state champion in the history of the Virginia High School League ... his 182-11 record is the winningest record in Virginia ... was an Iron Man Champion in 2002 as well as an All-American in 2001 ... was a Beast of the East Champion in 2002 and an All-American in 1999 and 2001 ... was the top ranked high school wrestler in the country by WIN Magazine, Wrestling USA, Amateur Wrestling News and Intermat ... was named to the seventh annual USA Dream Team ... Frishkorn was named outstanding wrestler of Virginia in 2000.
Personal: Frishkorn was born Sept. 11, 1984 ... his parents are Richard and Karen Pate ... he has two younger brothers, Jordan Frishkorn (18) and Michael Pate (13), as well as one older sister, Kristin Frishkorn (22) ... he is looking at majoring in biology with hopes of getting into the medical profession ... in his free time, Frishkorn enjoys fishing and crabbing.
