Cowboys Host Missouri
Oklahoma State returns to Boone Pickens Stadium Saturday afternoon as the Cowboys play host to the Missouri Tigers. Kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. OSU enters the game with an overall record of 3-1 and a Big 12 Conference mark of 0-1. Missouri will come to Boone Pickens Stadium with an overall record of 2-2 and a league mark of 0-1 after losing to Texas 51-20 Saturday afternoon in Columbia.
Cowboys Will Try to Snap MU Success in Stillwater
When the Cowboys take the field Saturday for their Big 12 battle against Missouri, they will be trying to snap a three-game Missouri winning streak at Boone Pickens Stadium. The Tigers won in Stillwater in 2001 by a 41-38 margin. Missouri won in Stillwater in 1997 by a 51-50 margin in overtime and also claimed a 24-15 win in 1994. Oklahoma State's last win over the Tigers in Stillwater came in 1992 by a 28-26 score.
Remember the Walk
As always, Oklahoma State fans are encouraged to greet the Cowboys as they walk to Boone Pickens Stadium Saturday afternoon from the Atherton Hotel at the Student Union. The Walk will begin at approximately 10:40 a.m., and fans are welcome to line Hester Street between the Student Union and Boone Pickens Stadium.

Tickets for Saturday's game against Missouri are still available by calling the Athletic Ticket Office (1-877-ALL-4-OSU) or logging on to the official website at www.okstate.com. Tickets are also available in person at the ticket office in the east lobby of the Athletic Center, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. OSU is expecting a crowd in excess of 46,000 for the game.
OSU-Missouri: Series History
Saturday will mark the 48th meeting between Oklahoma State and Missouri, and the Tigers have a 27-20 overall series edge. Oklahoma State's 20-17 win in Columbia last year snapped a four-game series winning streak by Missouri.
OSU-Missouri On the Air
Saturday's game against the Tigers will be broadcast live on the Cowboy Radio Network with Dave Hunziker, John Holcomb and Robert Allen describing the action. Hunziker returns for his fifth season as the radio voice of OSU football. Holcomb is the sports director of Tulsa's KOTV (CBS), and is beginning his first season as the analyst in the Cowboy broadcast booth. Allen returns for his fourth season on the OSU sideline. The radio broadcast begins one hour prior to kickoff. The game broadcast is also available on Sirius Satellite Radio, channel 119.
OSU Last Week
Oklahoma State opened Big 12 Conference play with a 34-0 loss to Colorado at Boone Pickens Stadium. The Cowboys fell behind on the very first play from scrimmage when Colorado's Hugh Charles scampered 74 yards for a touchdown. The Buffs scored in every quarter, including 14 third-quarter points to secure the win. Oklahoma State's defense continued its season of consistent play. Linebackers Paul Duren and Jamar Ransom combined for 12 tackles (six each), and defensive lineman Ryan McBean had two tackles, including a sack for minus four yards, and a fumble recovery. On the offensive side, quarterback Bobby Reid completed 14 of 29 passes for 116 yards and tailback Mike Hamilton had 14 carries for 52 yards. It was the first time Oklahoma State has been shut out at home since a 31-0 loss to Kansas in 1991.
Missouri Last Week
While Oklahoma State was battling Colorado in Stillwater, Missouri had its hands full with second-ranked Texas in Columbia. After trailing just 14-13 at the end of the first quarter, Missouri watched Texas scored 10 unanswered points in the second period and 13 in the third and eventually race to a 51-20 win. Quarterback Vince Young ran for 108 yards and a touchdown and passed for two other touchdowns. Texas was also opportunistic, turning three first-half Missouri turnovers into touchdowns. Missouri quarterback Brad Smith completed 19 of 37 passes for 180 yards and an interception. The Tigers had one more first down than Texas, 25-24, but Texas amassed 575 total yards to Missouri's 324.
This Date in OSU Football History
October 8, 1988 Â Oklahoma State ran its season record to 4-0 with a 41-21 win over Colorado at Folsom Field in Boulder. OSU's defense forced six Colorado fumbles, but the 13th-ranked Cowboys used 174 yards and four touchdowns from Barry Sanders and a 202 yard performance from Mike Gundy on 13 of 23 passing to nail down the win.
Head Coach Gary Pinkel
Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel is in his fifth season at Missouri and his 15th as a head coach. He will bring a Missouri record of 24-27 to Stillwater this week and a career record of 97-64-3. Pinkel has a record of 1-1 vs. Oklahoma State, including a 1-0 mark in Stillwater. Pinkel's first Missouri team claimed a 41-38 triple overtime win in Stillwater in 2001.
