Steve Mocco Named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week

DALLAS, Texas Â— Oklahoma State junior heavyweight Steve Mocco was named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week for his performance at the National Duals last week.

Mocco had three falls and a tech. fall to help the Cowboys secure their third straight National Duals title. Two of Mocco's falls helped secure the win in the last match of the dual.

Mocco pinned Lehigh's Tom Curl in 56 seconds as OSU beat Lehigh 20-16. Mocco's fall over Illinois' Mike Behnke helped the Cowboys defeat the Illini 22-15.

Mocco is 21-0 on the season with 13 falls. He has won his last 55 collegiate matches. Mocco will face No. 10 Scott Coleman of Iowa State tomorrow night at 7 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum.
