2003-04: Played for two seasons at Eastern Oklahoma State Junior College ... went 7-5 with a 2.95 ERA and 113 strikeouts in 79.1 innings as a sophomore ... limited batters to just a .159 batting average ... was drafted in the 43rd round of the 2004 draft by the Chicago Cubs ... played with the Cotuit Kettleers in the Cape Cod League over the summer, posting 20 strikeouts in 18.2 innings .... was drafted in the 22nd round of the 2003 draft by the Colorado Rockies and in the 19th round of the 2002 draft by the Minnesota Twins ... also considered Alabama and Texas.
HIGH SCHOOL: Went to Argyle Secondary School in Canada ... played baseball there and was drafted in the 27th round of the 2001 draft by the Toronto Blue Jays.
