Cowgirls to Compete in Arkansas Invitational

STILLWATER, Okla.-Oklahoma State women's track and field team will compete at the Arkansas Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark ., on Saturday.

The Cowgirls will travel 14 girls that will either compete in the throwing, jumping or distance running competitions. It is the first meet in nearly a month for the Cowgirls, as there were no meets scheduled over the break.

“If we do well, that is great,” assistant coach Teri Steer said. “We're going to treat this meet as it would be a practice.”

The last meet for the Cowgirls was at the KSU All Comers Meet in Manhattan, Kan. Cowgirl senior Halee Prickett led the Cowgirls, as she set a new Oklahoma State school record by throwing 53'25” weight toss, and then got a NCAA provision qualifying mark.

Arkansas will host the meet, with the field events starting at noon.
