Cowboys Host a Pair of Big 10 Schools
January 11, 2005 | Cowboy Wrestling
The Michigan State dual was originally scheduled for last Thursday, but was rescheduled due to a snow and ice storm that hit the upper midwest.
The Spartans come to Stillwater with a 2-1 record. MSU recently finished fifth at the Midlands Championships, with 125-pounder Nick Simmons winning a title.
Iowa currently boasts six wrestlers ranked in the top 10, and the Hawkeyes are currently ranked No. 9 in the latest USA Today/NWCA coaches' poll. Iowa brings a 5-1 record to town with the only loss coming to in-state rival Iowa State.
This will be the first time the Cowboys have wrestled at home since they wrestled a double dual against Tennessee-Chattanooga and Boise State on Nov. 14.
This will be the final tune-up for the Cowboys before they travel to Cleveland, Ohio for the National Duals on Jan. 22-23.
