“Something told me to come here because it was the right fit for me. The coaches offered me a chance to play coming in as a freshman.”
What was it like coming here with one of your high school teammates (Stephen James)?
“It was awesome because I know that I will have someone to look out for me. Stephen also knows that I would do the same thing for him.”
How has college football been different from high school football?
“The speed of the game and learning so much of the offense. In college, you can run one play then use four different options for the audible. Then in high school, if you run a play and you need to audible, I would only have like two options to choose from.”
What has impressed you the most about this year's team?
“How everyone has come together and in tough times we seem to recover and do the right things.”
What is your biggest asset on the football field?
“My biggest assets are probably my leadership and my youth. My speed and agility are some other assets I also bring to the field.”
Do you feel like your shoulder has gotten close to 100 percent?
“Yeah I feel like I'm close to 100 percent but I won't really know until I get enough reps in practice. I just need to wait my turn.”
Do you do anything before a game to get motivated for it?
“I don't do a whole lot, but what I do is just listen to my head phones to get ready for a game.”
Who was your favorite athlete growing up as kid?
“My favorite athlete was Deion Sanders because I just like the way he plays out on the field. I'm not a trash talker like he is but I like the way he went out every sunday and performed at the best of his ability.”
Describe Coach Gundy...
“Coach Gundy is a character because he's a real funny man and a good person to learn from. Since he played the position in college I just try to learn as much as I can from him.”
