Soccer Prepares To Open Conference Play

Karen Hancock is in her ninth season at Oklahoma State and 11th season overall. Hancock built OSU's program from scratch in 1996 and the hard work paid off when the 2003 Cowgirls won the Big 12 Tournament and earned a first-ever trip to the NCAA Tournament. Hancock is nearing a coaching milestone with the opportunity to pick up her 100th career win Friday night against Louisiana-Lafayette.
Scouting Louisiana-Lafayette
Louisiana-Lafayette enters Friday's contest at 4-2-1 overall. The Ragin' Cajuns are riding a three-game winning streak, posting shutouts in each outing. ULL is led by Rose Clemensen with eight points off three goals and two assists. Kelli Good chips in with two goals and two assists. Kristen Malen has started all but one contest in goal with a 0.53 goals-against average. Malen has made 24 saves and allowed three goals in 507 minutes.
Scouting Missouri
Missouri enters the weekend with a 3-4-1 record. The Tigers are 1-2-0 on the road, defeating Northwestern while losing against Kentucky and Illinois. Missouri is led by Jennifer Nobis with five goals and two assists and Karen Bauer with four points off one goal and two assists. Laura Buehrig has logged all of Mizzou's minutes in goal, posting a 1.45 GAA and making 38 saves. The Tigers open league play at Oklahoma on Friday.
Home Sweet Home
Oklahoma State has recent history on its side when its takes the field at the Cowgirl Soccer Complex. The Cowgirls are riding a 12-game unbeaten streak dating back to a 3-2 win against Oklahoma on November 1, 2002. OSU is 24-4-3 at home the past three seasons, an 82 percent winning percentage.
Looking Ahead
Oklahoma State hits the road for a four-game road-swing next weekend. The Cowgirls visit Texas A&M on Friday and Texas on Sunday in their first conference road trips.

Cowgirls On The Radio
Oklahoma State will have five home games plus the OU game at Norman and all postseason contests broadcast live on Stillwater Radio. All games will air on KGFY 105.5 FM with pregame beginning 15 minutes prior to game time. Bill VanNess will handle play-by-play duties. A complete broadcast schedule is below.
