Darrent Williams Named Big 12 Player Of The Week

DALLAS- For the second consecutive week, Oklahoma State PR-DB Darren Williams has been named SBC Big 12 Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for games of Sept. 18 in voting by a select panel of media covering the Big 12.
Williams had a career night on punt returns in OSU's 59-7 win over SMU. He had five punt sorties for 162 yards with a long of 47 yards. That was an average of 32.4 yards per return. It also was a game-best for punt return yards for the defender, who had 153 yards a year ago against UL Lafayette. It came within 19 yards of the single-game OSU record (181 punt runback yards) held by Bob Fenimore since 1943. The senior also had three tackles, a pass breakup and a fumble return for 53 yards defensively.
In addition the Big 12 announced that the Oklahoma State-Iowa State game will not be picked up by television. The game time has been set for 1 p.m.
