Cowgirls Finish Strong at the Wildcat Invitational

TOPEKA, Kan. -Oklahoma State's women's cross country team took the first-place title Saturday morning at the 6k run in the Wildcat Invitational. The Cowgirls took first over Wichita State, Kansas State, Kansas, Missouri-KC, and Oklahoma.
It was the second week in a row where the Cowgirls finished five runners in the top 10.
Freshman Mary Davies (21:13) finished in first-place overall, after the second-place finish she had last week in the Hurricane Invitational.
Rounding out the top five and right behind Davies in second-place was Cowgirl Barbora Kuncova (21:35), Wichita State's Desiraye Osburn (21:41), Wichita State's Sarah Becker (21:45), and Cowgirl Michelle Prowse (21:48), who finished fifth.
Other Cowgirls that finished in the top ten were Svetlana Vasileva, and Eva Tomankova.
The Cowgirl's will now look to host the Cowboy Jamboree on Saturday, Oct. 2.
