Darrent Williams Receives Big 12 Weekly Honor

DALLASÂ—Oklahoma State defensive back/punt returner Darrent Williams has been chosen SBC Big 12 Conference Special Teams Co-Player of the Week for games of Sept. 11 in voting by a select panel of media covering the Big 12.

In OSU's 38-21 triumph over Tulsa, Williams had five unassisted tackles, two assists, one tackle for minus eight yards, forced a fumble, and broke up a pass. He also got in the scoring column when he returned a punt 59 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter and had four runbacks for 87 yards in this specialty facet.

Williams is the second OSU player this season to receive a weekly award from the conference after Vernand Morency was named offensive player of the week on Sept. 4.

Oklahoma defensive back Antonio Perkins was the other player to receive this week's special teams award.
