Cowgirls Drop ORU, Win Oklahoma Shootout

The Cowgirls were led offensively by a pair of senior midfielders that tallied their first goals of the season against the Golden Eagles.
Carla Dolomont put the Cowgirls up 1-0 on an unassisted goal at the 8:55 mark. Dolmont's shot found the back of the net after being deflected and then bouncing off the left post.
ORU's Emily Gagnon also scored her first goal of the season on Sunday. Gagnon took an assist from Nicole Bucelluni and evened the game in the 24th minute.
Nikki Wojtowicz scored the game-winner nine minutes into the second period on assists from Jere Boykin and Adriane Radtke.
The Cowgirls outshot the Golden Eagles 17-7 and held a 9-4 advantage in corner kicks.
Breanna Truelove went the distance in goal, making two saves.
Five Cowgirls were named to the all-tournament team; midfielders Sasa Jackson, Nikki Wojtowicz and Carla Dolomont, goalkeeper Breanna Truelove and forward Jere Boykin, who was also the Offensive MVP.
Oklahoma State (5-0-1) opens its home season on Friday, hosting Northwestern State at 7 p.m.
