“It was the second day when I got here. We were going through a drill, and I went on a post route. As I went up for the ball over the cornerback I came down into a little hole in the ground, and the leg just went out. Ever since, I have done a lot of therapy, and now I feel 100 percent.”
You were one of the very few freshmen that got to work out during the Cotton Bowl week. Explain what it was like to practice at Texas Stadium.
“I never went full pads during practice. I did go up there to workout with the trainers, and went through some rehab. That got me where I needed to be.”
Oklahoma State has gone to two straight bowl games. Being a part of a very young wide receiver group, what will it take to get back into the post season this year?
“Hard work and dedication. We've got to work hard in practice, and win the big games. If we do that we will be successful.”
What do you expect out of yourself as a freshmen?
“Hopefully I can just come out and get better as a player. Learn from the people around me, work hard, learn the plays and come out to do something for the team.”
What do you enjoy most about Donovan Woods, since he's in line to be the starting quarterback going into the UCLA game?
“Donovan is a character. He may seem quiet around a lot of people, but he's a fun guy to be around. He amazes me as a player because he is very athletic, and has great speed. So I think he will do pretty good against UCLA.”
Who has been the most competitive player you have gone up against here at Oklahoma State?
“Darrent Williams because he is a great cornerback. He has amazing speed and he can jump real high for the ball.”
What impresses you the most about the team this year?
“A few things impress me about this team. One is how athletic we are, and then the attitude all of us bring out to the field. Then team unity impresses me because when I was in high school, my coach always said that we have to play as ONE, and that is what I feel this team is playing like.”
Why did you choose Oklahoma State?
“I chose Oklahoma State because they were the one that recruited me the hardest out of ever other team. When I came up on campus to visit I enjoyed every person up here, and everyone seemed to be really nice.
