Cowboys Continue With Two-a-days
August 19, 2004 | Cowboy Football
STILLWATER, Okla. Â Oklahoma State conducted two practices today with an early morning workout on the turf at Boone Pickens Stadium and a 2 1/2 hour session on the grass practice field in the afternoon.
The morning practice was emphasized by the running game. Greg Jones took a bulk of the carries with the first team offense, while Vernand Morency carried the ball as well.
The Cowboys worked on the passing attack in the afternoon. Donovan Woods made some difficult throws, while both both Al Pena and Jamie Beeghley both looked good running the second team offense.
“The offense was really productive in third down and long passing,” head coach Les Miles said. “Our receivers are playing well. Quarterbacks are playing well.”
The Cowboys will just conduct one practice tomorrow afternoon at 3:30 p.m. They will don full pads, and scrimmage for approximately the last hour of practice.
