Cowboys Show Improvement On Day Two
August 11, 2004 | Cowboy Football
Oklahoma State's football team went through its second day of workouts on Tuesday and it was a busy day for the Cowboys both on and off the field.
The newcomers kicked off the day with a 2-1/2 hour workout Tuesday morning on the artificial turf at Boone Pickens Stadium. The full squad then participated in Fan Appreciation and Media Day activities. OSU's returning players began their practice on the grass practice fields but moved to the turf to wrap up after a one hour lightning delay.
Fourth-year head coach Les Miles was impressed with the veterans performance in Tuesday afternoon's practice.
“This was a good practice and we felt like we got a lot accomplished,” stated Miles. “We threw the ball well, were sharp on our assignments, and were able to test some key pieces of our offense and defense.”
