Cowboy Coaches Pleased With Newcomers
August 11, 2004 | Cowboy Football
For the second consecutive day the Cowboys had to deal with weather and pushed their practice time back one hour before working out for 2-1/2 hours on the artificial turf at Boone Pickens Stadium. The newcomers practiced in shoulder pads for the first time this week and the fourth-year head coach continued to see improvement.
“We are conditioning more than we normally would because this cool weather is unseasonable and not reflective of what we will deal with in the majority of the games we play,” stated Miles. “Overall we had a good practice and got some things accomplished. Some of the young guys are showing they can contribute.”
The returners will also don shoulder pads for the first time today and are scheduled to take the field for a 2-1/2 practice at 4:10 p.m. on the grass practice fields. The practice is closed to the public.
