2003: Farden was named a second-team All-Big 12 choice by the Associated Press after finishing the season ranked second in the league and 22nd in the country in punting with a 43.17 yards-per-punt average. In addition to that, he proved to be a valuable weapon on kickoffs, as 55 of his 75 kicks went for touchbacks. He recorded the second-longest punt in school history with an 80 yarder in the regular-season finale against Baylor.
2002: Farden finished the season with a 41.4 average on 57 kicks, including 13 downed inside the 20. On kickoffs, he had 43 touchbacks in 72 attempts. He punted three times for a 45.3 yard average against Baylor, and punted twice for a 45.5 yard average against KU. Farden punted eight times for a 40.1 yard average against Texas Tech, with three of his four kickoffs coming out to the 20 yard line. He punted six times for a 45.3 yard average against A&M, and punted five times for a 44.2 yard average against Nebraska. Three of his five kickoffs were touchbacks against the Huskers. Farden punted seven times for a 40.9 yard average, including a 62 yarder, against KSU. He boomed three touchbacks in four attempts against Texas and punted eight times for a 43.1 yard average. He recorded six touchbacks in nine attempts against SMU and punted twice for a 48.0 average. Farden recorded four touchbacks in five attempts against UCLA, and punted five times for a 41.6 average with three kicks inside the 20. He had six touchbacks in seven attempts against Northern Iowa. He punted four times for a 34.0 average against Louisiana Tech in his first start as the Cowboys' punter, and also recorded five touchbacks as the kickoff specialist against the Bulldogs.
2001: Cole was Oklahoma State's kicker on kickoffs.
High School: Farden earned all-district honors as a punter and safety as a junior, but successfully added kicking to his chores as a senior and had the same success. Farden also competed for the Grapevine track and soccer squads, where he earned two letters in each sport. His senior season statistics included 10-of-15 field goals and 36 touchbacks on kickoffs. He averaged 39.0 yards per punt. As a receiver, he had 18 receptions for 310 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Baylor, SMU and UTEP also recruited him.
Personal: Born March 1, 1983, in Honolulu, Hawaii, Cole is the son of Gail Farden and Keahi Robins. He has two brothers, Taylor and Makana, and is the grandson of former OSU great Neill Armstrong. Cole is majoring in education at Oklahoma State.
