2003: Ward did not compete due to injury. He received a medical hardship for the 2002 season after playing in only four games.
2002: Ward played in four games and made four tackles before suffering a season-ending knee injury against SMU. He recorded two solo tackles in the season opener against Louisiana Tech and one solo tackle and an assisted tackle in the home-opener against Northern Iowa.
2001: Charlie did not enroll in college until the spring, when he attended Oklahoma State.
High School: Ward was a second team All-State selection by the Daily Oklahoman and was also all-district following the 2000 season. He had 37 receptions for 556 yards and six touchdowns. On defense, he logged 93 tackles and 14 sacks as a defensive end. He lettered three years in football, two years in basketball and four years in track, where he was a state qualifier in the 4x800-meter relay.
Personal: Born Feb. 6, 1983 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Charlie is the son of Connielynn Watson and Charles E. Ward, Sr. He has three brothers and one sister. Charlie is majoring in economics at Oklahoma State.
