2003: Bajema was a second-team All-Big 12 selection by the league coaches after starting 11 of OSU's 13 games at tight end. His 2003 statistics included 12 catches for 129 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He caught four passes for 39 yards, including an 11-yard scoring grab against Baylor. He caught one pass for six yards against Texas and caught one pass for 15 yards against Oklahoma. Billy had a six-yard reception against A&M, and caught one pass for 12 yards against Texas Tech. He caught a 25-yard TD pass against Kansas State, his first reception since the season opener against Nebraska. Bajema did not start against SMU due to injury, breaking a string of 16 consecutive starts. He caught two passes for 19 yards vs. the Huskers.
2002: Bajema flashed his big-play ability against Oklahoma, finishing with three catches for a career-high 99 yards, including a career-best 58 yarder. For the season, he has 15 grabs for 238 yards and a touchdown in 12 starts. Billy was named first-team academic all-district Academic, as well as Academic All-Big 12. He also received honorable mention All-Big 12 recognition. Billy made one catch for 12 yards against Kansas, and recorded four receptionsfor 69 yards in the loss to Texas Tech. He grabbed one pass for eight yards against Texas A&M, and caught two passes for 24 yards against Nebraska. Billy caught one pass for seven yards against Texas, and caught two passes for seven yards, including a one-yard TD reception, the first of his career, against Northern Iowa. He finished with one reception for 12 yards against Louisiana Tech.
2001: Billy played extensively and logged a varsity start against Baylor in Waco. He finished the season with four catches for 16 yards.
igh School: A three-sport performer at Westmoore, Bajema was known primarily as a quarterback in high school. During his senior season, he played on both sides of the ball, also seeing significant time at defensive end. He finished the season completing 69 of his 149 pass attempts for 845 yards with seven touchdowns and nine interceptions. Both the Daily Oklahoman and the Tulsa World listed Bajema as an honorable mention All-State selection. He was also listed among the top-30 Oklahoma prospects by First Down Sports, and was selected to participate in the Oil Bowl. Bajema also competed as a member of the Jaguars' basketball and baseball teams. Other schools that recruited Bajema were Kansas, Oklahoma and Alabama.
Personal: Born Oct. 31, 1982, in Oklahoma City, Billy is the son of Bill and Lynne Bajema. He is majoring in general business/pre-med at Oklahoma State.
