UCF took a 1-0 lead in the second as Kevin Richmond doubled down the left field line with two outs and scored on a single by Drew Butera.
The Golden Knights plated four runs in the sixth to extend the lead to 5-0. Marshall Bernhard and Kevin Richmond both had two-run singles in the stanza, knocking OSU starter Spencer Grogan out of the game.
Grogan allowed five earned runs on 10 hits with three strikeouts and no walks in 5.1 innings of work.
Kevin Richmond added a two-run homer in the eighth off of reliever Travis Ingle to push the advantage to 7-0.
OSU scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth, highlighted by a RBI double by Rusty Ryal and two run homer by Jason Jaramillo.
