Cowgirls Sign Texas Standout
June 07, 2004 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
Oklahoma State's women's track and field team signed Deleanor Kirpatrick to National Letter of Intent, it was announced earlier this week. Kirpatrick was a three sport star at Waller High School, excelling in basketball, powerlifting and track.
Kirpatrick was selected to the Texas 4A All-State team in the shot put and discus and was the overall Texas state champion in powerlifting.
“We are very excited to get Deleanor on campus,” said assistant coach Teri Steer. “As she gains strength in the weight room with her quick speed she will make an immediate impact in the hammer throw.”
Kirpatrick will throw the shot put and discus for the Cowgirls, but will look to focus on the weight and hammer throw.
