Greathouse Signs With Cowgirls

Oklahoma State's women's track and field team signed Lakendra Greathouse from Gonzales, Texas to a National Letter of Intent, it was announced Monday. Greathouse finished her high school career with three Texas state championships in the discus and one state championship in the shot put.

Greathouse was also a member of her high school's district champion women's basketball team.

“Lakendra will make an immediate impact in the Big 12 in the shot put and the discus,” said assistant coach Teri Steer.

Greathouse will also look to be a contender in the indoor weight throw.

“It is only a matter of time before Lakendra will be competing at a national level,” said Steer. “We can't wait until she is a Cowgirl.”
