Prowse Places 10th at NCAA Championships

Oklahoma State's Michelle Prowse placed 10th in the 5,000 meter run in the finals of the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday in Austin, Texas. Prowse finished the race with a time of 16:53.77 only 7 seconds from a top eight finish which is All-American.
Valentina Medina finished 12th in the 1,500 meter final with a time 4:37.43. Medina had a personal best in the preliminaries of the 1500m two days earlier with a time of 4:19.09. Prowse had a one minute personal best in the 5000m earlier in the season with a time of 16:20 at the Stanford Invitaional.
Medina and Prowse will each have one year of eligibility left where they will look to make a repeat appearance to the NCAA Championships next year.
