McClain Earns NCAA Wild Card

Oklahoma State's Delisa McClain was selected to receive one of eight wild cards for the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the hammer throw. McClain is currently ranked 21st in the hammer throw.

McClain's best performance of the year that gained her a spot for the championships was measured at 197 feet.

Three Cowgirls will look to compete for the national title in Austin, Texas. Along with McClain, juniors Valentina Medina and Michelle Prowse will compete at the championships.

Medina will compete in the 1,500 meter run, while Prowse will compete in the 5,000 meter run.The championships are set to begin on June 9.
