June 18, 2004 | Cowgirl Cross Country & Track
Oklahoma State's women's track and field team signed Brandi Broaduss to a National Letter of Intent earlier this week. The The Hugoton, Kansas native was a two-time Kansas state champion and 1-A state record holder with a best distance of 45' in the shot put.
Broaduss was also successful throwing the discus and javelin for Moscow High School, as well as being a member of the school's basketball state semifinalist team.
“We are very happy to have Brandi (Broaduss),” said assistant coach Teri Steer. “We will be able to use her in four throwing events when she learns to throw the hammer in the fall.”
Broaduss will focus on the throwing events during the track season next year.
