Cowgirls Prepare for NCAA Regional

Senior Delisa McClain will look to make an impact for the Cowgirls in the hammer throw competition. McClain is coming off a second place finish at the Big 12 Tournament and was the conference leader in distance during the regular outdoor season.
Junior Halee Prickett will enter the shot put competition with three first place finishes and a school record distance of 15.09 meters.
First Team Academic All-Big 12 member Paula Ogunbanjo will compete for the Cowgirls in the triple jump. The junior had a strong outdoor season where she recorded five top four finishes, including a thrid place finish at the Big 12 Tournament, and set the school record. Junior Valentina Medina will carry the momentum from her first place finish at the Big 12 Tournament to the regional in the 1,5000 meter run. Medina joined Ogunbanjo on the First Team Academic All-Big 12 team.
Senior Michelle Prowse will compete in the 5,000 meter run after earning an NCAA Provisional with a time of 16:20.99.
The Cowgirls will look to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships that will begin June 9 in Austin Texas.
