OSU scored a run in sixth and two in the seventh to cut the gap to 9-5, but it wasn't enough as the Cowboys dropped their straight conference game.
Josh Fields and Thomas Incaviglia led the Pokes with two hits each, while Trevor Helms led the Tigers with a 4-for-4 showing and three RBIs.
Thomas Cowley allowed six runs on eight hits in 3.2 innings to fall to 5-3 on the year.
