Prowse Qualifies for NCAA Regional

Oklahoma State's Michelle Prowse became an NCAA Regional Qualifier after finishing the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16:20.99 at the Stanford Invitational on Friday in Palo Alto, Calif. Prowse was the first collegiate runner to cross the finish line and currently has the top time in the Big 12 Conference.
Valentina Medina also became an NCAA Regional Qualifier in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 16.55.11. Medina's time set the Venezuelan national record for the 5,000 meter run.
Catherine Clifford ran the 5,000 meter run unattached and finished with a time of 17:41.54, improving her previous best time by 45 seconds.
Delisa McClain competed at the UTA Invitational in Arlington, Texas. McClain was the top collegiate finisher in the hammer throw with a distance of 194'1”.
The Cowgirls will return to action today for the second and final day of competition at each meet.
