McVey Takes Second in Steeple Chase

Oklahoma State sophomore Jodi McVey placed second in the steeple chase with a time of 11:37 at the Hurricane Invitational this past Saturday in Tulsa, Okla.
This race marks the first time that McVey has competed in the steeple chase in her collegiate career. McVey is the first Cowgirl to have competed in the steeple chase for OSU and is also the first to practice on the new steeple chase barriers at the Droke Track Complex, which were put up this spring.
Delisa McClain placed fourth in the hammer throw at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa this past weekend with a distance of 57 meters.
The Cowgirls will return to action on Thursday when they head to Norman, Okla. for the Big 12 Outdoor Championships.
