Alison Erziner to Sit Out Outdoor Season

“This will give Alison (Erzinger) an opportunity to develop strength and gain some training experience,” said head coach Rene Sepulveda.
Along with Erzinger, nine other Cowgirls will choose to red shirt during the outdoor season. Senior Catherine Clifford will look to compete next year in the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races. Freshman Kim Blomkvist will also sit out this season and will look to compete next year in the 3,000 and 5,000 meter races.
Junior Melissa Ndubilo will work on her long jump training during this time and freshman Mar Barnett will prepare for next season's 1,000 meter competitions. Freshman Maria Trejo will look to compete next year in the 5,000 meter and 10,000 meter races.
Freshmen Audrey Gagan and Erin Dalby will sit out this season and will work on competing next year in the 1,500 meter race. Freshman Jenna Rae Downs will look to gain experience in the 10,000 meter race and freshman Daryl Round will work on her 5,000 meter race performance.
