The Sun Devils trailed 3-1 heading into the third before scoring four runs in that inning and another four in the fourth to jump out to a 9-3 lead. That sparked the team to score at least a run in the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth innings.
ASU improved to 19-3 on the year while
Rusty Ryal, Josh Fields, Felix Peguero and Chris Gutierrez all had two hits to lead OSU, while Jeff Larish led the Sun Devils with three hits and four RBIs.
Reliever Josh Blake (1-0) picked up his first win of the year, while Spencer Grogan (4-1) dropped his first decision of the year.
The Cowboys jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first on RBI singles by Josh Fields and Scott Kirby.
The Sun Devils scored an unearned run in the bottom of the first off of OSU starter Spencer Grogan, before the Pokes countered with a run of their own in the second on a RBI single by Ty Wright.
