On Oklahoma
In their last match before Bedlam the eighth ranked Sooners hosted Michigan State Friday at the Howard McCasland Field House winning by a score of 29-6. Oklahoma won eight matches with three major decisions and one fall. The dual was highlighted by Leonce Crump picking up the Sooners first win with a fall making it 36 career pins. Crump, Rafael Maturino, Daniel Caruthers and Danny Rubenstein will wrestle their last matches Sunday against Oklahoma State at the Lloyd Noble Center. Head Coach Jack Spates has compiled a 139-56-5 record in his 10 seasons at OU. The Sooners are coming off the Oklahoma Open where five wrestlers took home individual titles. OU is currently 1-0 on the season, defeating Missouri Valley, 34-6. The Sooners are coming off a year where they crowned a pair of individual champions in Teyon Ware and Robbie Waller. OU's lone returning All-American in Ware has not wrestled yet but is slated to start at OSU.
