Cowboy Golf In Seventh Place at Puerto Rico Classic

The ninth-ranked Cowboys, who are competing with three true freshman and a pair of sophomores, will enter tomorrow's second round 11 shots off the pace of tournament leader Clemson and tied with Virginia.
Freshman Tyler Leon was one of 14 players to break par on the day, firing a three-under-par 69 to stand in sole possession of fourth place and three shots behind Texas' Jason Hartwick for the individual lead.
Fellow freshman Casey Wittenberg carded a one-over-par 73 to finish the day tied with six other players for 29th place, while sophomore Zack Robinson's 74 placed him in a 10-way tie for 36th place.
OSU also counted a 76 from freshman Zac Reynolds, who is tied for 56th place in his first event of the spring.
Sophomore Chris Clarke rounded out the Cowboy lineup with an 81 in his spring debut to come in tied for 80th place.
OSU will tee off at the par-72, 6,931-yard Rio Mar Country Club's River Course at 8 a.m. (CST).
