HIGH SCHOOL: Was a first-team all-conference selection at Riverside High ... was an all-district performer in all four seasons and earned all-city and all-district honors in his junior and senior years ... was the district MVP as a senior and co-MVP as a junior ... also lettered one season in tennis ... was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 40th round of the 2001 draft.
