Grogan will be expected to help anchor the weekend starting rotation.
2003: Recorded a 3-5 record with a 5.09 ERA in 17 appearances ... struck out 48 batters in 76 innings ... second on the team with 14 starts ... first collegiate win came against Miami (OH) (3/8) ... shutout the RedHawks in six innings of work, allowing just three hits with five strikeouts ... recorded season-high seven strikeouts against Nicholls State (3/2) ... second win of the year came in his longest outing, an eight inning performance against Kansas (5/30) ... scattered 12 hits and allowed four runs to the Jayhawks ... third win came in his strongest outing of the year, a seven-inning performance against Kansas State (4/5) ... allowed one unearned run on six hits while striking out four ... pitched four innings of three-hit scoreless relief against Oklahoma (5/22) in the final game of the year.
2002: Pitched for one season at Okaloosa-Walton College in Niceville, Fla. ... a 19th round selection by the San Diego Padres after the season ... chose Oklahoma State over Tennessee, Southern Miss, Miami, UAB, South Alabama and East Carolina.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year letterwinner at J.M. Tate High ... was a third team all-state selection as a senior in 2001 ... won the News-Journal Player of the Week award three times ... named the Most Outstanding Pitcher at the 2001 Nike Tournament.
