Pablo Martin Named Big 12 Golfer of the Month

A native of Malaga, Spain, Martin led OSU to its second team title of the fall, rolling through the field at the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship. He trailed for only six holes during the entire tournament on his way to posting a 4-0-0 record while playing at the No. 1 position for the Cowboys.
Martin began his collegiate career in impressive fashion, winning his first career start with a two-stroke victory at the Ping/Golfweek Preview to earn Big 12 Golfer of the Month and SGA National Amateur of the Month honors for September. He also claimed medalist honors at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational en route to becoming the No. 1-ranked player in the country.
With his win at the Isleworth, Martin tied the school mark for victories by a freshman held by seven players and most recently achieved by Edward Loar in 1997.
