Cowboys Prepare for First Round of Bedlam

The Cowboys are currently 3-0 on the season, and are coming off of a 28-10 victory over seventh-ranked Minnesota. The Sooners wrestle their first dual on Thursday against Central Oklahoma. OU did open the season with a team title at the Brockport/Oklahoma Gold Classic in Brockport, N.Y.
OSU has four wrestlers ranked at the top of their weight class. Zack Esposito (7-0), Chris Pendleton (8-0), Jake Rosholt (7-0) and Steve Mocco (8-0) are all undefeated at this point in the season. The Cowboys also have third-ranked Johny Hendricks (6-1) and ninth-ranked Daniel Frishkorn (2-1), who each have one loss.
It will be the first bedlam match for Iowa transfer Steve Mocco. Mocco will square off against No. 16 Jake Hager at heavyweight.
Oklahoma boasts a young lineup that is led by top ranked Sam Hazewinkel and second-ranked Teyon Ware. Ware defeated OSU's Ronnie Delk three times last season.
Oklahoma State has won the last 12 meetings between the two schools, and leads the overall series 117-24-9.
