“We are very happy to accept the bid to participate in the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio. It is a great location for our team. We have so many of our players with family in close proximity and it is a great destination for our alumni, friends and families that surround our program.”
On playing Ohio State
“I can remember standing on a sideline and watching Ohio State take the field with my father and meeting Woody Hayes when he spoke at my high school banquet. I was fortunate enough to be at a place where Ohio State was their chief rival. I have great memories of Ohio State, understand the tradition of the program and look forward to playing them.”
On watching Ohio State
“I saw a little of the Michigan-Ohio State game. They are very capable both offensively and defensively. I think their quarterback looked pretty effective in the game. Ted Ginn Jr. is a very talented and dangerous player, we will have to contain him.”
On last trip to the Alamo Bowl
“We had a great trip. The venue is perfect, its indoor, loud and provides a great gameday environment. The riverwalk is very festive and exciting.”

“It serves a lot of purposes for our program. It puts Oklahoma State in view of a daily Texas media source and gives them constant updates on our program. It allows our friends and family to come see us. I am very much looking forward to being on the riverwalk and enjoying the atmosphere.”
On the future impact of a bowl game
“There is a future portion of this schedule. You play well during the season and that brings great enthusiasm but this team has not played their best football yet and we are very happy to have a quality opponent that will call us to play our best football. Offensively, we did not play as well as we would like against Tech. Our defense and special teams came to play. Now we want to put it all together and see just how good this team can be. We want to finish this year strong and if that provides a springboard for the future, so be it.”
On the season
“I think this team plays well but feels that there is a lot left to accomplish. They have been subject to the success of the two previous bowl teams and understand where we are headed and how we must perform.”
