Cowboy Golf Finishes Second At Isleworth Invitational

The Cowboys entered the day alone in third place and five shots off the lead held by Georgia. However, the Bulldogs put up a 2-under 286 team score to finish 10 shots clear of OSU's 9-over total of 873 and 11 shots ahead of third-place Georgia Tech.
Cowboy freshman Pablo Martin continued his impressive play, posting an even-par 72 during his final round to share medalist honors with Georgia's Chris Kirk at 209, 7-under.
With his second career win, the Malaga, Spain native tied the school mark for victories by a freshman held by seven players and most recently achieved by Edward Loar in 1997.
Redshirt sophomore Ryan Posey carded the squad's low round of the day with a 5-under 67, vaulting him from a tie for 40th place into a tie for 15th at 219, 3-over.
Junior Chris Clarke posted his low round of the tournament with a 1-over 73 to end play in a three-way deadlock for 28th place at 225, while sophomore Tyler Leon slipped into a tie for 39th at 13-over with his 229 after a final-round 79.
Junior Zack Robinson rounded out the Cowboy lineup with an 83 during his final round to come in tied for 41st place at 230.
The Cowboys will return to action on Nov. 7 when they close out the fall season at the Hooters Collegiate Match Play Championship at Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach, S.C.
