The Cowgirls were awarded a pair of free kicks in the second period after Jolene Schweitzer was taken down on two separate occasions but could not convert.
Ashlee Pistorius gave the Aggies some breathing room at the 57:34 mark, scoring on a cross from Carrie Berend. Rankin dove to her right in a valiant save attempt but the ball grazed off her fingertips.
