OSU Wrestlers Win in All-Star Classic

Zack Esposito was the first Cowboy to take the mat. In a rematch of the national semifinals last season, Esposito got ahead of third-ranked Dustin Manotti of Cornell, and never looked back. He finished the match with an 8-3 decision.
Chris Pendleton faced second-ranked Ben Askren of Missouri in a rematch of last season's title match. Pendleton won for the fifth time in their last six meetings with a score of 6-3.
Steve Mocco faced second-ranked heavyweight Cole Konrad of Minnesota. This match was tight throughout the entire contest. Neither wrestler scored in the first period. Mocco got the first point when he got an escape in the second period. Konrad tied the match with an escape in the third period. Mocco was able to get a point in overtime to break the tie and end the match at 2-1.
Oklahoma State will send a few selected wrestlers to the Oklahoma Open in Norman on Saturday, Nov. 27, while the rest of the team prepares for Minnesota on Dec. 5.
