On defending Texas Tech

“I think that there are a number of bowls that are still in the mix. There are a number of selection committees that see us as a very attractive participant. “We want to keep our offense on the field, and have 15-16 play drives. Then that would give the defense the rest they need to have to play a whole football game the best they can. They're the type of offense that will just run you to death. Between the pass rush, and the defensive backs covering all of their receivers, it's going to be an exhausting game for our defense. From the past years, I remember that we need to keep our offense on the field, and it's definitely important for us to win the time of possession in this game.”
On the off week
“The off week was good for us because we got a lot of mental work done. The coaches took it easy on our bodies as far as hitting and stuff like that. I think that everyone is pretty much healthy, and we are definitely ready for Saturday.”
