Cowboys Set to Compete in UNO Open
November 17, 2004 | Cowboy Wrestling
OSU will send its entire squad to compete with some of the best wrestlers in the country. Nationally ranked Iowa State, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska are just some of the teams that will be competing.
The Cowboys are coming off of two victories last Sunday over Tennessee-Chattanooga and Boise State. OSU won 18 of the 20 matches in the two duals, five of which came by fall. Steve Mocco had the highlight of the day when he recorded a pin in 14 seconds.
OSU also had a few wrestlers compete in the CMSU Open last Sunday. Nathan Morgan won a title at 133 pounds, while Coleman Scott, Ryan Davis and Ryan Freeman all got third-place finishes. Newly McSpadden finished fifth in the 157-pound weight class.
Stillwater radio will broadcast the last few hours of the tournament. J. Carl Guymon will do the commentary on 93.7 FM, and will begin broadcasting at 7 p.m.
