Fedick Leads Cowgirls in Jamboree

Texas Tech won the title by finishing three runners in the top ten. Rounding out the top five were Georgetown (2nd), Texas A&M (3rd), Wichita State (4th) and Kansas State finishing in 5th.
Miriam Kaumba (Oklahoma Baptist University) took the first-place individual medal with a time of 17:02.
Cowgirl senior JoAnna Fedick (19:04), finished the Jamboree in 40th-place and was the top finisher for the Cowgirls.
Others who competed for the Cowgirls were Lisa Bowles (19:29), Jennifer Edwards (19:31), Daryl Round (20:05), Maria Trejo (20:14), Andrea Gagan (20:21) and JennaRae Downs (22:00).
The Cowgirls will prepare for two meets on October 9th. The “A team” will head to the west coast for the Triton Classic, in San Diego, Calif., while the “B team” will compete in the Subway/ORU Oklahoma Classic in Tulsa, Okla.
