Cowgirl Soccer Falls 3-1 At Texas

Texas' Kelly Wilson had a hand in each of the Longhorns three goals on the day, pulling in a goal and two assists.
The Longhorns jumped out to an early lead on a goal from Kelly McDonald at the 12:18 mark. She was assisted by Caitlin Kennedy and Wilson.
Texas hung on to a one-goal lead until early in the second period when Wilson added what proved to be the game-winner on a penalty kick in the 59th minute.
The Longhorns gained breathing room eight minutes later when Wilson fed Kelsey Carpenter, upping their advantage to 3-0.
The Cowgirls avoided the shutout with a goal in waning minutes of the game. Jolene Schweitzer tallied her sixth goal of the season on an assist from Leah Carr at the 88:29 mark.
OSU was outshot for the second consecutive game, allowing 22 shots by the Longhorns while taking seven.
Breanna Truelove went the duration in net, making five saves and allowing three goals.
Oklahoma State (9-2-1) travels to Texas next weekend as well. The Cowgirls visit Texas Tech on Friday and Baylor on Sunday.
