Cowgirl Soccer Blanked By No. 9 Kansas, 1-0

The Cowgirls played against a stiff north wind in the first half, managing just three shots compared to Kansas' 16. The ball stayed on the Jayhawks half of the field for much of the period but OSU missed out on a golden opportunity with 18 minutes left before half. Adriane Radtke took a cross inside the box but the shot missed high.
Despite the offensive advantage, Kansas was not able to capitalize until the waning minutes of the half.
Rachel Gilfillan scored the lone goal of the game in the 43rd minute on a Nicole Cauzillo corner kick. Gilfillan headed in the winning goal and it grazed off Breanna Truelove's outstretched fingers before finding the back of the net.
The Cowgirls won the shooting battle in the second half, taking seven to KU's six. OSU also earned five corners after the break after taking none in the first half.
Oklahoma State had chances to even the game but could not take advantage. As time was winding down the Cowgirls had the ball ball in the box two different times but failed get a shot off.
Truelove went the distance in goal for the Cowgirls, making 10 saves and allowing one goal.
Oklahoma State closes out the weekend on Sunday, hosting Iowa State at noon.
